Local families celebrated the holiday season and saw Winter Park’s new Christmas tree decked out in lights for the first time at the Winter on the Avenue event on Friday, Dec. 7, in Central Park.
The event – put on by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and the city of Winter Park – featured a tree lighting ceremony and performances by the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Choir, the Park Maitland Glee Club and the Central Florida Community Arts Choir.
