Obituary: William Sidney "Bill" Arrington III

William Sidney “Bill” Arrington III, 75, of Winter Haven, Florida, died on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. Bill, son of the late William Sidney Arrington Jr. and Mildred H. Arrington, was born on Dec. 12, 1942, in Orlando, Florida.

He attended FSU and graduated from Florida Southern College. He served two years in the Navy and traveled the Mediterranean on the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La. His career was in citrus management.

He was an avid golfer and a loyal FSU Seminole fan.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris; a son, William Sidney Arrington IV (Teresa), and two grandchildren, Amanda and Caleb, of Florence, Alabama; his mother, Mildred, and a brother, Charles (Judy), of Charleston South Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, in the Central Baptist Church, 57 Sixth St. NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
