Daniel Ray Blevins, age 50 of Ocoee, Florida, went to be with his Lord at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, while at Florida Hospital.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Florida in 1979. He was the devoted son of Jack Blevins (deceased) and the sweet Geraldine Blevins (McMinn). He was also like a son to John and Pat Bass and neighbors Don and Robbie Fannin.
On May 6, 2012, he was married to his beloved wife, April Dillon, whom he first met when they were students at West Orange High School. He was a warm, loving, smart, quick-witted person who was always thoughtful. He believed in God and doing the right thing. He loved to play his guitar and was a computer whiz. He was quick to forgive, with loads of patience, and loved by many.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Amanda and Justin and their son Jackson Cooper, James and Danielle Messer, Michelle, Alyssa, Tara Lindenburg and Monica (Lindenburg) Sentinelli, Patricia, Stephanie, Lacy, Heather and Gabby Dillon, Britanie and Cathy Mullis Burch, Robert and (Melissa). Also, by his brother and sister-in-law Daniel and Crystal Dillon and Joey and Helen Lindenburg with his mother-in-law Dolores Dillon Taylor. Too, McMinn side: his aunts, Louise Grissom and Brenda Roddery, and uncles, Russell McMinn and Raymond McMinn; Blevins side: Frances Mills, Junior and Sandy, Robert, Frances, Mary, Lawrence, Jerry and Frances Blevins. Lastly, but importantly, his best friends, Mike and Susan Townsend and Donny and April Bass; and his very close friends, Tony Oswalt, Rudy and Missy Lantzsch, Teddy, Tony, Jeremy, Bo and Lisa, Ray and Jeanne Bass, Johnny Harrison, Wayne and Pam Reynolds, Ronnie Bracewell, Conica Diamond, Tim Richardson, Dee McFadden-Manley, Larry Nutting, Stephanie Martin, Diane Verner- Kelley and his many other friends.
A special thank you to our very close friends and relatives: James Messer for marrying us, Russell and Ray McMinn and Sherri Pennington for their support, Chris and Kerry Mcclelland for the urn and Alice Camden and the Bass family for the memorial.
Memorial plans to be determined by the Bass family within the next few weeks.
