New Starbucks slated for Winter Garden

Local coffee enthusiasts will soon have another option to consider when getting their morning espresso fix or afternoon pick-me-up.

City documents have confirmed a Starbucks will be coming to the old Wendy’s property, located at 13304 W. Colonial Drive.

“Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers, and we are happy to confirm that we will be opening a new location at 13304 W. Colonial Drive in Winter Garden this summer,” said Starbucks spokeswoman Nichole Henderson.

The 3,728-square-foot building was constructed in 1985, according to property records. The one-acre property also contains 46 parking spaces.

No renderings have yet been released for the new Starbucks. It is unclear whether the current building will be torn down or remodeled or whether the location will have a drive-thru.
