Winter Garden Little League Senior All-Stars ready for Section 5 Tournament

The Winter Garden Little League Senior All-Star team (ages 15-16) will begin play in the Section 5 Tournament June 30, in pursuit of a trip to the state tournament.

For head coach Rob Benne, a deep pitching rotation — anchored by a standout from the varsity ranks — and consistent defense will hopefully be the team's ticket to success.

"We've got depth in pitching and we've also got an ace in Justin LaGasse — who threw a no-hitter for Legacy Charter this season," Benne said. "We're five or six deep right behind Justin in pitching strength. On defense, we're solid one-through-14. There's no dropoff."
