Oakland’s former Oaktubb Inn has been given new life as the Oakland Manor House Inn, operated by Cynthia Schultz and Dr. Charlotte Charfen. The purpose of the refurbished 1900s home on Tubb Street in Oakland is to offer get-aways, organizational retreats and special events to the community.
Amenities will include health classes, workshops and retreats focused on active pursuits with a special emphasis on health and wellness programs and activities, according to Schultz and Charfen.
Each of the five bedrooms has a private bathroom, and each room has its own theme, such as the Peacock Room, the Mermaid Room and the Speakeasy. There are common living areas and plenty of nooks for guests needing solitude.
The house boasts ceiling-to-floor windows, wood staircases, hardwood floors and large porches.
“We look forward to sharing the history of this unique home and lovely town as we open our doors and provide our guests with a healthy, calm and relaxing place to come stay and rejuvenate,” Schultz said.
Schultz is the executive chef and resident innkeeper, and Charfen is the medical director.
