Bob Swanson rocked his military ribbon rack to the event. Swanson served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and left the Air Force in 1979 to join the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Navy in 1996.

American flags flew at half staff and the Orlando Concert Band played patriotic music as dozens of individuals gathered at Woodlawn Memorial Park for the 68th annual Woodlawn Memorial Day Service. The Memorial Day service is held to honor the military service men and women who were killed in the line of duty or who have passed away since their service, prisoners of war and those who are missing in action.
