Obituary: David William Loew

David William Loew, 76, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, after a short battle with lung cancer.

David is preceded in death by his son, William Brent, and his parents, Alfred and Virginia Loew of Winter Garden.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Loew; daughter, Kelli Nutting (Shawn); grandsons, Colin and Cooper, brother, Gene (Glenda); and sisters, Joyce Coleman and Mary Loew; and nieces, Linda Hackney, Dawn Mackrodt, Annette Sasser and Gina Hinton; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Born in Peoria, Illinois, and raised in Winter Garden, Florida, David graduated from Lakeview High School, Class of 1960. David was a veteran of the United States Navy and Exalted Ruler of the Winter Garden Elks Lodge from 1986-1988. David enjoyed fishing and attending car shows with his 1967 Plymouth, and he was an excellent bowler.

The memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the chapel at First Baptist Windermere, 436 Oakdale St., Windermere. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
