Mrs. Mary Josephine Campbell, age 80, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. She was born on Aug. 23, 1938, in Ocoee, Florida, to Glenn and Leila Bullington.
Mrs. Campbell was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, originally from Ocoee, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great- great-grandmother.
She worked as a secretary for the State of Florida before retiring. She enjoyed boating, deep-sea fishing, riding motorcycles and scuba diving.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Campbell; brother, Wilburn Bullington; one granddaughter, Christina Butcher; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her two sons, Daniel Simon of Perry, Florida, David Simon of Wiggins, Mississippi; one daughter, Vicki Burgess and husband Gary of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; eight grandchildren, Robert Simon, Heather Helms and husband Arcus, Stacy Scarborough and husband Toby, Randall Simon and wife Brooke, Michael Simon and wife Esther, Jeffrey Simon and wife Aline, Bradley Simon and wife Lynda, Anthony Burgess and wife Briana; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home. 230 Park Ave., DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
A time of visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant St., Winter Garden, Florida 34787. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home.
Flowers are being accepted. Burial will follow in Ocoee Cemetery.
