Winter Garden commission to vote on downtown property zoning at Thursday meeting

Commissioners will consider a possible rezoning for a downtown property at the Winter Garden Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at City Hall. 

The ordinance that will be considered by the commission, if approved, would rezone the property at 504 W. Plant St. from residential to commercial. 

Plans for the parcel include a two-story office building, a pocket park with a pergola and a pedestrian plaza.

The city will also conduct its first budget workshop of the 2019-20 fiscal year at the Thursday meeting. Budget hearings will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m on Sept. 12 and 26.
