In a game that appeared to be heading towards a one-sided win, it turned into a back and forth game that came down to the final shot with the Ocoee Knights topping the Windermere Wolverines 77-75 Wednesday, Dec. 11.
After Ocoee (3-3), closed out the first half on an 11-2 run, they went into halftime up 41-25.
In the second half, Windermere (3-4), slowly chipped into the Knights’ lead — eventually cutting the lead all the way to one after Trey Moss made two free throws with eight seconds left in the game.
Coming off of a timeout the Wolverines were forced to foul Jason Coronado after the inbound pass. Coronado made the first free throw to extend Ocoee’s lead to 77-75, but missed the second. After the miss Moss got the ball and drove down the court to make the potential game-tying shot, but ended up missing as the Knights survived for their second-straight win.
David Green led Ocoee with 23 points and Cordell Brown also had a big game with 22. E.J Yorke had a team-high 23 points for Windermere and Jaden Golston had 15.
