West Orange High School Resource Deputy John Dickson was the longest-tenured school-resource officer at an Orange County school. Dickson, who retired in 2019, spent 15 years at West Orange High School during his 31-year career.

West Orange High a cappella group Noise Complaint competed at The National A Cappella Convention in May in Memphis, Tennessee.

Community members and their dogs gathered to raise money for a good cause at the Polka Dogz K9 Carnival Saturday, May 18, at Oakes Animal Hospital in Winter Garden. Morgan Thoss snuggled her dog, Leia, at the carnival.
