It was a muggy, warm night on Monday, July 16, as locals took in a few games of pick-up soccer at the practice field located at Deputy Scott Pine Community Park in Windermere.
Put on by Real Winter Garden Soccer Club manager Cristian Guare, the games — lasting 15 minutes apiece — take place every Monday and Wednesday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the field. Guare also holds games on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
For players 17 and up, $5 gets you multiple games in a night, which is played on a regulation field with regulation goals in a 11 versus 11 format.
