Donning their very own aprons and chef’s hats, children proudly stationed themselves around the dishes they’d cooked on Friday, June 7 — the last day of the Rosen JCC summer cooking camp. More than 20 children served various dishes to their parents, and each could explain what the foods were and what country they originated from. Throughout the week, children learned about kitchen safety and sanitization. They also got to create their own recipes and learned about the food and culture in countries like Israel, Greece and Mexico.
