Ruth Ogren Clark, 77, of Windermere, Florida, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019. Ruth was born on April 23, 1941, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to the late Mrs. Jessie (nee Helen) and Mr. Samuel Ogren.
Ruth attended Florida Technical University (now known as the University of Central Florida) and graduated with a master’s degree in art. Ruth spent most of her career as a math teacher at Lakeview Middle School. (Where she herself had graduated, when it was also a high school.) She was an accomplished landscape and wildlife artist and had displays in many art shows over the years.
However, she was most proud of being the daughter of noted architect Samuel Ogren, also known as the “Father of Delray Beach Architecture.”
Ruth was preceded in death by her son James Jr. and is survived by her loving husband, James Clark; her children, Christine Weber, Sharon Stenger and Patricia Chaffee; her sister-in-law, Edythe M. Warren; and her 10 grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held Friday, March 8, 2019.
