After much bargaining, the Orange County School Board and the Classroom Teachers Association reached a 2019-20 contract agreement.
On Friday, Nov. 8, Orange County Public Schools announced a one-year agreement that includes teacher compensation and benefits for this school year. One of the highlights is a 5.5% average raise, the highest salary increase among school districts in the Central Florida area, according to OCPS.
The 5.5% increase to payroll represents a 1.5% increase over the last deal, which was voted down. Other highlights include the following:
