Santa came to town a little early, when the town of Oakland hosted its Santa's Lane Drive-Through Christmas Saturday, Dec. 5.
The event served as a safe and socially distant way for families to greet Santa and his elves, and enjoy the town's festive holiday decorations. Residents were treated to a special visit from Santa as he arrived to the event on a one-horse open sleigh. Oakland was able to give away more than 500 gifts and gift cards, popsicles and activity bags to all children who attended.
Sponsors included co-sponsor Lakeside Church; Platinum Sponsor Orlando Health; Gold Sponsors DG Doughnuts and West Orange Creamery, Silver Sponsors The Simmes Family, Michael and Mary Ann O'Donnell, the Fontenot family and Nancy Ross, Crooked Can Brewing Company, Cut Ups Hair Salon, Michael Holt, of Premier Power, and the Whole Enchilada.
