Ocoee officers arrest man for possession of child pornography

UPDATE: On Feb. 5, detectives charged Mark Anthony McCartney with lewd or lascivious molestation and promoting sex performance by a child. McCartney is still in custody in the Orange County Jail.

The Ocoee Police Department arrested 32-year-old Mark Anthony McCartney Saturday, Feb. 1, for possessing material depicting "sexual performance by a child," according to a statement from the department.  

Officers received an Internet Crimes Against Children tip, and an investigation revealed that McCartney reportedly possessed 162 images of child pornography.

The investigation is still ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available, according to the Ocoee Police Department.
