“POWER, MYTH AND MEMORY IN AFRICANA ART”
7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Crealdé School of Art, 600 St. Andrews Blvd., Winter Park.
The exhibit commemorates the 100th anniversary of the 1920 Ocoee Massacre, joining other Central Florida organizations in looking back at local history and examining how it affected the community in the century that followed. Art pieces have been selected from the C.J. Williams collection. The private collection includes many 2D and 3D pieces never before seen by the public.
