Two West Orange-area schools also will serve as voting locations for the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

According to Orange County Public Schools officials, the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office has been approved to use some schools in this capacity. In West Orange County, those schools are Lake Whitney and Whispering Oak elementary schools.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 3, and all poll workers and voters will be restricted to only the designated voting area on campus and away from students.

Poll workers and voters  will follow CDC guidelines including the use of face coverings, hand sanitizer and social distancing while on campus. Proper cleaning protocols of all areas will take place before, during and after voting.

These schools also will have an additional law-enforcement officer on campus Tuesday to ensure safety. For more information and to find polling locations, click here.
