Here’s a chance to do some holiday shopping and support local vendors at the same time. St. Luke’s United Methodist Church is hosting its Third Annual Holiday Makers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.

Many of the more than 50 vendors at the curated show are furloughed theme park employees. Food trucks will be onsite for lunch and snacks. All attendees will be asked to wear a mask.

“We are so grateful to be able to host the Holiday Makers Market this year,” said Maria Murphy, the event’s director. “2020 has been a difficult year for all of us and it has really taken a toll on our local art community who depend on live events for their livelihood. Our local artists and makers need support more than ever and have worked hard during the pandemic to create some amazing new art and one-of-a-kind pieces.”
The event will feature an extensive selection of highly diverse handcrafted items that includes pottery, artwork and jewelry, along with creations of glass, metal, textiles, wood and paper.
The church is at 4851 Apopka Vineland Road, Dr. Phillips. Admission and parking are free.
