Windermere Preparatory School families were treated to an evening ripe for comedy as they watched their young Lakers’ production of “James and the Giant Peach” Nov. 5 and 6. A total of 25 fourth- and fifth-grade students in the school’s fine-arts department worked hard to bring the Roald Dahl classic to life, and multiple characters had doubles. The story is about a young boy who escapes an abusive home in a magical peach. Along the way, he makes new friends, and discovers the joys of freedom and friendship.
