Nehrling Gardens holding plant sale

Green-thumb gardeners will love the assortment of plants, many of which attract butterflies.

Nehrling Gardens is holding a plant sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2267 Hempel Ave., Gotha. The event is free, and plants range in price from $5 to $25.

Some of the plants include Blue Porterweed, Orange Flame Justicia, Red Firespike, Gloriosa Lilies, Star Burst Clerodendron, Pagoda Clerodendrum, Shell Ginger, Blue Ginger, Walking Iris, Philippine Violet and many bromeliads ranging in size from miniature Crypthanthus gardens to large, sun-loving Aechmeas. Many are butterfly, bird and insect pollinator attractors.

In addition, a local artist will be present with hand-blown pots.
