Two arrested in fatal Ocoee shooting, police say

Ocoee police arrested 20-year-old Christian Javier Campos and 17-year-old Elias Garcia on Oct. 2 and Oct. 4, respectively.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at the Clarke Road Plaza in Ocoee, police say.

Police responded to a call regarding a shooting in the parking lot of the plaza – located at 1586 E. Silver Star Road – at approximately 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1. 

Officers said they found the victim, Christopher Bell, suffering from a gunshot wound. Bell was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and has since died from his injuries, police said.

Ocoee police arrested 20-year-old Christian Javier Campos Friday, Oct. 2, on charges of accessory after the fact to felony murder, accessory after the fact to robbery by sudden snatching, and tampering with evidence.

On Sunday, Oct. 4, police arrested 17-year-old Elias Garcia on charges of felony murder and armed robbery by sudden snatching/armed.
