Orange County Public Schools will pay employees $200 to get vaccinated

The incentive is available to any full-time, part-time or hourly employee who provides proof of full vaccination by Oct. 31.

Orange County Public Schools is offering a $200 incentive to employees who receive the COVID-19 vaccine, the district announced.

The incentive is available to any full-time, part-time or hourly employee who provides proof of full vaccination by Oct. 31.

According to school officials, the district will use Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief II (ESSER II) federal funds (non-recurring) to pay for the incentive, which could be as much as $5 million for about 23,000 eligible employees.
