Wawa is giving teachers and school administration something extra to look forward to this September.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 1 teachers and school administration across the entire chain of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C. stores will be eligible to receive special offers including free coffee.

Teachers and school administration can receive free coffee or fountain beverages of any size all day, every day from Sept. 1-30.

The offer is part of Wawa's month-long “Cheers to the Classrooms” celebration honoring those who "educate, guide and inspire children," according to a press release from Wawa last week.

“As teachers and school administration return back to school following one of the most challenging years, Wawa is making a special effort to bring cheer to classrooms across our chain with free coffee, financial support and special visits as our small way of expressing gratitude to those championing for our children,” said Chris Gheysens, President and CEO, Wawa. “It gives us great pride to celebrate our teachers and school administration who represent everyday heroes in our community.”

The celebration will also include a Classroom Fund and Cheers Tour and Store to School Visits.

Through a partnership with Donor’s Choose, an online resource for teachers to submit funding requests for school supplies and support, according to their website, Wawa has designated a $25,000 fund to support schools throughout its operating area. From Sept. 1-10 Wawa has scheduled a “Cheers Tour,” with its Wawa Community Care Truck that will visit select schools. The schools will receive funding as well as freshly brewed coffee and donuts.

In addition, all 940 plus Wawa stores selected a local school of their choice to receive 50 free Sizzli coupons, two boxes of coffee and 50 free specialty, heart-shaped, apple-filled donuts and fun props during special visits the weeks of Sept. 13-24.
