A local company is partnering with other big-name Orlando organizations to help those in need.
McCraney Property Company is coming together this week with the Orlando Dream Center, a resource center with a food pantry, baby and senior assistance, and youth development programs, and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores, and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties.
The organizations will host their sixth free food distribution event in the Southeast with a goal to distribute 20,000 meals within a few hours to families in need. The food distribution will be the second one taking place in Ocoee.
According to the property company, families in attendance will receive fresh food to create nutritious meals and 41% of Ocoee’s population will be "positively impacted with nourishment and hope."
McCraney Property Company is known for its development and management of a variety of property types throughout the Southeast. For more than 28 years, the company has provided service to areas including Orlando, West Palm Beach, Georgia and the Carolinas.
The distribution event will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, at the company's Distribution 429 Business Park at Building 300 -- 635 on Ocoee Business Pkwy.
The event will last until food runs out or till 12 p.m.
