Obituary: Peggy Parish Porter

Peggy Parish Porter, 66, of Daytona Beach, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, in Ormond Beach. She was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Leesburg, Florida, to James C. and Hazel Louise Parish.

Growing up, she attended Winter Garden Elementary, Lakeview High and Mid Florida Tech. She worked at two different daycares and was a candy striper in the hospital.

Peggy attended the First Baptist Church of Winter Garden and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also had her own horse and participated in horse show competitions. 

She is survived by her children, Chris (Jenny) and James (Connie); three grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Gary) Vanderplaats; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Her brother, Gary Parish, passed away in 2000.
