Windermere Prep student joins Summer School Zone team

Meet the writer: Lily Parker, Windermere Prep

The Observer is excited to welcome another student writer, Lily Parker, to the Summer School Zone team.

Lily is 11 years old and will be a seventh-grader at Windermere Preparatory School this fall. Her favorite school subject is writing, and her favorite class is called “Opening the Book.”

Lily enjoys writing about different types of fantasias, and in her spare time, she likes to read, write and ride her bike with her family.

If she could go anywhere in the world right now, she would choose France because she is interested in learning more about the French culture and viewing the large collection of art the country displays in its museums.

“I have an interest in being a writer or publisher and felt this would be a wonderful way for me to learn more about the process a writer follows for a publication,” Lily said of being part of the Summer School Zone team.
