Former NFL running back Zac Stacy was arrested Thursday night for alleged domestic violence that took place at a woman's home in Oakland.

Stacy does not live in Oakland. He was taken into custody by the Orlando Police Department once his flight from Nashville arrived at Orlando International Airport Thursday evening.

He has been charged with aggravated battery and criminal mischief.

"We'd like to thank the law enforcement agencies who assisted with apprehending Stacy," the Oakland Police Department said in a statement. "This is an active and ongoing investigation, and this is all the information we have for release at this time."

Stacy's arrest is in connection to an alleged domestic disturbance that took place on Saturday, Nov. 13 in the town of Oakland. Officers arrived within two minutes, and determined that a domestic violence battery had taken place. However, Stacy had fled the scene before officers could question him. He was later found to have fled the state.

Stacy is a former running back for the then-St. Louis Rams and New York Jets and played from 2013-2015.
