A company headquartered in Winter Garden recently made a donation for a good cause.

C&W Global supports the nation’s leading mining, manufacturing, distributing, recycling and construction companies by transporting goods and materials across North America.

Built from the ground up by founder Bill Creeden, and now owned by his son Kevin and grandson Kyle Creeden, C&W has grown from a one-man operation to one of the largest and most modern logistics and transportation company.

Since 2002, C&W Global and the Creeden family have been hosting a fundraiser, the C&W Charity Golf Classic, to raise money for charity.

This year's classic was held on Oct. 9, at the Wekiva Golf Club in Longwood, FL.

In 2004, the company began to build a partnership with Shriners Children’s Florida, a non-profit that  provides care for children without barriers.

Now, C&W Global comes together every year to raise funds for the charity.

More than $560,000 has been donated to support the Shriners Children’s mission, providing specialized medical care regardless of the families’ ability to pay, since 2004.

On Friday, Nov. 19, C&W presented a $20,000 donation from this year's classic to the non-profit at 703 Hennis Road in Winter Garden.

The company plans to continue its donation efforts at the next classic.
