Shepherd's Hope is seeking the community's assistance in reaching its fundraising goal.
The nonprofit recently held its annual fundraising gala, the Famous Faces Masquerade Ball, Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, with an accompanied live broadcast for those unable to attend in person.
According to Shepherd's Hope, Famous Faces raises awareness and funds for five Shepherd’s Hope Health Centers.
The theme of the event was "Famous Faces: A Night at the Museum" and featured a hosted evening with performances from professional actors and actresses, unique costumes and a plethora of auction items.
Pam Gould, CEO and President of Shepherd’s Hope, said the show was impressive.
"After months of disconnect, we felt blessed to reconnect many of our supporters both in the ball room and virtually,” Gould said. “Caring neighbors once again stepped forward to ensure the healing work of Shepherd’s Hope continues while celebrating the clinical and non-clinical volunteers like this year’s Maryanne Brown Award winners, Bill and Cindy Perry.”
The event raised $201,640 toward the nonprofit's goal of $250,000.
The money raised helps to sustain access to healthcare for the under and uninsured of Central Florida.
Gifts up to $5,000 will be matched by the Duke Energy Foundation to support patient services.
