Friends, family, athletes celebrate life of Windermere coach Colin Lawless

Windermere High School's boys lacrosse team, along with family and friends, celebrated the life of assistant coach Colin Lawless Friday, April 8, at Real Life Church in Clermont. Pastor Gospel Igwe delivered a message, and Darren Fixler and John Lawless spoke.

Mr. Lawless died unexpectedly March 28, 2022. He was 31.

A second celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 16.

Those who would like to honor coach Lawless are welcome to donate to kidslacrossetheworld.org, a non-profit organization that works with local communities in Malaysia and Kenya to promote leadership and empowerment through lacrosse on a youth level. 

The Wolverines have dedicated the rest of their season to Mr. Lawless. 

Mr. Lawless is survived by his wife, Caitlyn; parents, John and Tara; brothers, Jack and Gavin; grandparents, Robert and Dewonia, and Yvonne; uncles and aunts, Michael and Claudia, and Beth; cousins, Jackson, and Bridget and Johnathan, and their coming-soon baby girl, Ryan, and Flavia; and fur babies, Eddie and Oscar.
