Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is hosting "Food for Thought" tours to give residents the opportunity to see how the nonprofit distributes food across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard counties.

Tour participants will get an inside look at the food bank’s active warehouse and distribution center, which dispenses enough food for 250,000 meals a day, as well as learn different ways to get involved with hunger relief efforts.

According to Second Harvest, the need for meals remains elevated compared to pre-pandemic distribution levels.

The first event will take place virtually from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14. To register for the event, click here.

The second event will take place from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the food bank at 411 Mercy Drive. To register, click here.
