2 men shot after community event in Winter Garden

Two men were shot around 7:18 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, following a community event at Tildenville Park in Winter Garden. 

Orange County deputies are investigating what witnesses at the park said to happen shortly after an event calling for unity in the community.The event was commemorating the death anniversary of a man who was shot and killed in Central Florida two years ago.

First responders found a man in his 20s and another man in his 30s, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to the hospital where officials say one man is in critical condition and the other is in serious but stable condition.

Orange County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting and searching for suspects.
