Winter Garden to discuss rezoning, residency requirement for city manager, application for loan

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, at City Hall, 300 W. Plant St.

The Winter Garden City Commission will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St.

Commissioners will first discuss the reading of an ordinance that will cover amending portions of the Winter Garden Code of Ordinances removing the residency requirement for the city manager. 

Discussion will then begin on a series of second readings and ordinances relating to 0.71 acres located at 958 Tildenville School Road. The ordinances cover annexation, changing the land use designation and rezoning.

The City Commission will next discuss a resolution authorizing the city manager to apply for a $3,500,000 loan under the State Revolving Fund loan program to fund the city's design of the city's Crest Avenue Wastewater Treatment Facilities capacity expansion.

Regular business items will host discussion of several site plans, board appointments, engineering upgrades and more.
