Oakland Town Commission to meet tonight

Elected officials will hold a work session on golf carts at 6 p.m. prior to the regular town meeting.

The Oakland Town Commission will hold back-to-back meetings Tuesday, Feb. 22, starting with a work session at 6 p.m. to discuss golf carts.

At the 7 p.m. regular Town Commission meeting, the agenda includes public hearings on the Briley Farms annexation and Comp Plan amendment, an extension of the multiple-family moratorium, a resolution on support for the Healthy West Orange Trail Connection.

The consent agenda includes wastewater connection fees for the septic-to-sewer project, budget transfer and bid award for a redundant water well, and an appointment to the School Advisory Committee at Oakland Avenue Charter School.
