Florida Highway Patrol has arrested an Ocoee woman on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon stemming from a July 19 altercation with an FHP officer in Minneola.

According to the arrest report, the officer noticed 56-year-old Lisa Anne Slone yelling and waving a pitchfork and whip in front of the main entrance of the Publix Supermarket on North Hancock Road, Minneola. She refused to put down the weapons, the report stated, so the officer removed them from her hands, handcuffed her and placed her in the patrol car. Her feet were placed in restraints after she unbuckled her seatbelt and began kicking the car window, according to the report.

According to the report, a grocery store manager said Slone had earlier been trying to sell teddy bears behind the store and later stabbed a vehicle with the pitchfork.

The officer said Slone appeared to be “highly intoxicated on some sort of stimulant drug” and she repeatedly said she “felt no pain anymore and that God was in control.”

Slone was taken to the Lake County Jail, in Tavares.
