Traffic homicide investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol have made an arrest in the March 11, 2021, traffic crash that killed five people from one family.
Osbaldo Patino Vazquez, 20, of Ocoee, was charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, FHP reported. The arrest comes after a lengthy investigation into the fatal crash that occurred at Clarcona-Ocoee Road and Gaymar Drive, about a mile outside the city limits of Ocoee.
Five people died — sisters, Antoinette Oliver, 30, and Liza Jackson 25; and their three young children, Chloe Brent, 5, Olivia Lundy, 3, and Antonio Brent, 5 months — when the vehicle in which they were riding was struck as it made a left-hand turn off Clarcona-Ocoee Road onto Gaymar Drive. The drivers of both vehicles were treated at nearby hospitals for minor injuries.
Patna Vasquez was booked into the Orange County Jail on no bond, according to FHP.
