Our Class of 2022 is full of intellectual, joyous, easy-going and faith-centered students. Each student brings something special to the senior class with his/her broad talents and gifts with which God has blessed him/her.
Because of this, this year’s senior class stands out from many other classes in the past in several ways. From having the most scholarships in FA history to creating close friendships, our Class of 2022 is unique. Since the beginning of the school year, the senior class has worked hard to achieve their goals. From taking extra classes online to raise their GPA to applying to many Ivy League schools, our senior class is one of the smartest senior classes in Foundation’s history.
One of the most valued characteristics of the 2022 senior class is the close bonds of friendships we have with each other. One of our senior sponsors, Meredith Leiferman, told the senior class, “Y’all are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people that I have ever been around or watched interact with people.” The senior class continues to be friendly towards each other, underclassmen, teachers, administrators and people outside of school. The seniors created closer bonds with each other when they took a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, for their senior trip. They participated in karaoke night, hiking and sightseeing — all while growing closer to one another. Our seniors continue to love one another and thank God every day for the friendships with which He has blessed them. Many of the friendships among the senior class will be friendships that will last a lifetime.
On top of loving one another, the Class of 2022 has broken the Class of 2020’s scholarship record and has received the most scholarships thus far in Foundation Academy history. The students worked hard to get high SAT and ACT scores to gain Bright Future Scholarships. They also applied to individual scholarships. One of our valued students, Justin Williams, was awarded the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Courage Award. The award was a $1,000 scholarship that was well deserved. It was a blessing for Justin and his family, and they are very grateful. Another special award was given to Daniel Harrington who received the National Merit Finalist title. There were many awards given to our 2022 seniors as well as many other scholarships received that allowed our Class of 2022 to break the previous record. We are so proud of our FA seniors!
As a whole, our class is persistently setting goals to become the best versions of themselves they can be with God’s helping hand. We know that our students will continue to do great things as they move out of high school and carry on into college and their future. We pray for our students that are about to graduate as well as the underclassmen that continue on through their high school career.
