As the Class of 2022 prepares to enter the next stage of their lives, their memories will undoubtedly be marred by stolen experiences and reduced opportunities, but let not that be the takeaway from your time at West Orange High School. I truly hope you look back on your time and relish not what you didn’t have, but what you did. We grew closer to our peers by shrinking our peer group allowing for deeper relationships. We gained a new appreciation for the simple things in life, and, most importantly, we grew stronger in the face of adversity.

The 2021-2022 school year is one we will never forget, and it is my sincere hope that you always remember that you and only you are in control of your own happiness. Life is more about how we view things than the way they actually are. We found through that pandemic that we could make anything fun. Use this newly discovered outlook and go make the rest of your life the way you want it to be, full of joy and finding a way to enjoy even just a normal life.
