Windermere High School hosted a small ring ceremony for the 200 medley relay girls Friday, May 20.
"They are amazing, super bling," they said about the rings.
Brooke Larweth, Addison Reese, Maddie Reynolds and Peyton Powell were the first athletes from the school's swimming team to earn the state championship title with a time of 1:44.06 Friday Nov. 12, 2021.
When asked how they felt about winning state championships for the first time, the four girls said "It's exciting!"
"It was a really close race the whole way," Reese said.
"We just had the adrenaline rush going into finals," Powell said.
None of them are seniors this year, so they expect to grow and come back stronger to try and break the state record during the 2022-2023 season.
