On a perfect night for football, the Horizon Hawks proved to be Horizon West's top football program as they overpowered the Windermere Wolverines, 29-14, Friday, Nov. 4, at home.
The Hawks scored 15 unanswered points in the first half, which proved to be enough to keep the Wolverines at bay. In the second half, Windermere put up a fight with two touchdown passes from quarterback Bryce Speed.
However, late in the fourth quarter, the Hawks' Bo Wargel recovered a timely fumble, and Jacob Brown grabbed an interception to squash any chance for a comeback.
Before the game, the Hawks celebrated their first Senior Night.
