The Windermere High School boys basketball team defeated the Windermere Prep Lakers 76-53 at the 12th Annual Earl Graham Metro vs. Florida Challenge Friday, Nov. 25.
The annual Central Florida Thanksgiving tradition went on for four days; Tuesday, Nov. 22; Wednesday, Nov. 23; Friday, Nov. 25; and Saturday, Nov. 26. This year, the annual challenge hosted the highest number of games since its inception in 2010 with a total of 28 matchups.
According to the Metro vs. Florida Challenge website, "The concept is simple: Basketball programs from the Orlando-Metro Conference in Orange County test their skills against the best talent in the greater Central Florida area."
Other schools that participated were Dr. Phillips, Olympia, Ocoee, West Orange, Central Florida Christian Academy, Horizon, Foundation Academy, among others.
