Lady Storm Foundation hosting fundraiser

The event takes place Oct. 17 and will assist single mothers with temporary housing.

Lady Storm Foundation is hosting its first fundraising event to benefit single mothers in their search for temporary housing. It takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Windermere Town Hall, 520 Main St.

The $20 tickets can be purchased at the door and include dinner, drinks and live entertainment, 50/50 drawing and book signing by event host Lily Storm. She is the author of “A Never Forgotten Journey, An Immigrant Story.”

Community Editor Amy Quesinberry Price was born at the old West Orange Memorial Hospital and raised in Winter Garden. Aside from earning her journalism degree from the University of Georgia, she hasn’t strayed too far from her hometown and her three-mile bubble.
