Winter Garden to discuss rezoning, residency requirement for city manager

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at City Hall, 300 W. Plant St.

The Winter Garden City Commission will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St.

Commissioners will first discuss a series of first readings and ordinances relating to 0.71 acres located at 958 Tildenville School Road. The ordinances cover annexation, changing the land use designation and rezoning.

Another first reading of an ordinance will cover amending portions of the Winter Garden Code of Ordinances removing the residency requirement for the city manager. 

The City Commission will then discuss the second reading of an ordinance to amend portions of the code concerning utilities and the city's water and wastewater systems. 

Regular business items include discussion of a contract proposal for the continued use of Thioguard Solution, a proposal from Seminole Masonry and lease of three new automated side load garbage trucks from RDK Assets Inc.
