Oakland leaders voting on tentative budget tonight

The Oakland Town Commission meets at 6:30 p.m., followed by the regular town meeting.

The Oakland Town Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, to vote on its tentative millage rate and tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23.

The regular town meeting will follow at 7 p.m., and the following will be discussed.

1. The commission will hold its first public hearing to protect the new official municipal logo by ordinance. The logo was approved in July.

2. Commissioners will consider the consent agenda, which includes a vote on easements, right-of-way acquisition, a concession lease agreement and the manager’s report.

3. Elected officials will discuss the 10-year water supply facility work plan.
