BREAKING: Waste Management suspends services before Ian

No trash will be collected beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Because of the approach of Hurricane Ian, Waste Management has suspended collection services in Central Florida.

In addition, collection services may be suspended early in some areas on Wednesday, Sept. 28. If a residence is not serviced by 2 p.m., the residents should remove their containers from the curb and secure in a location away from open spaces. 

It will resume operations when conditions are safe.

• Brevard County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30. 

• Volusia County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30. 

• Orange County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 

• Osceola County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 

• Seminole County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 

• Marion County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 

• Lake County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29 

• Sumter County: No collection service Thursday, Sept. 29
