Andy's Frozen Custard is joining the city of Ocoee.

Andy's, which first opened in 1986 in Missouri, is a quick-service frozen dessert business with more than 100 locations in 14 states.

The custard chain is known for its tasty treats including concretes, jackhammers, sundaes, malts and splits.

We first told you in September about Andy's submitting a plan to open a franchise in the plaza under construction in Ocoee at the corner of Maguire Road and West Colonial Drive.

The new center already is home to other eateries — Southern Steer Butcher, Tijuana Flats, Smack Wings - Ocoee and Sonny’s BBQ. Pearle Vision, UrgentVet and Dentists of Ocoee also occupy space in the plaza.

Although there is no official opening date for the new Andy's, the business has created its own Facebook page for the Ocoee location.

Andy's Frozen Custard in Ocoee can be found at 11050 W. Colonial Drive.
