Horton the Elephant discovered the tiny community of Whoville in Castleview Elementary School’s production of “Seussical Jr. the Musical,” a lively and colorful journey that included Mr. and Mrs. Mayor, the Whos, the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch and an assortment of jungle animals and birds.
Nicole Freeman is the Drama Club director at the school, and she led a cast and crew of 50 students in third through fifth grade in the fun musical Thursday, April 27, and Friday, April 28.
“Utilizing my previous professional performing career, it has been an amazing adventure to be one of the directors of such an incredibly talented group of students to work with,” she said.
The school raised more than $5,000 to purchase a new sound system in the cafeteria.
